How does the WTS explain how the battle of Armageddon will be fought?

armageddon is a battle in which satan unites the kings of the earth against god's appointed king, christ.. the witnesses teach that the bible uses megiddo as the "symbolic" place of gathering of all the kings of the earth, where they will try to do battle against god and his forces.. it sounds so silly to me now that god and his forces would battle satan?

if god is so powerful,wouldn't he make satan and his demons just disappear?

does god need a sword,rocket,fist,or army tanks to destroy satan?.

The Witnesses teach that the Bible uses Megiddo as the "symbolic" place of gathering of all the kings of the Earth, where they will try to do battle against God and his forces.

I don't remember how the WTS explain how this battle would be fought. Is there any information on this silly war?

let's think about the subtle effects of the watchtower's newfound appeals for money.

traditionally, the society avoids doing anything that might expose the reality of how much of a facade the whole thing is.

they fear incidents that undermine their carefully crafted image of invunerability - and, indeed, the reality is much different.. beyond deceiving the witlesses in general, there is another reason for care because they must deceive themselves.

The great ''WitnissOni'' knows all of his tricks are to deceive everyone with a slight of hand,smoke and mirrors,distractions,and trickery. The WTS know that after 130 years they still need these methods to deceive their members. They use every method they can find to trick all their members. Some people aren't fooled and leave. Most never see that they are being deceived and stay. The WTS will be here for a long time. There might be small decreases of members,less contributions,less printing of books,but they will never ''disappear''.

1975 for deniers.

most of today's jws were not members in 1975 or in the 9 years prior to 1975, so they were not eyewitnesses to what really went on during that period.

i was a pioneer in that period, and i was an eyewitness to what went on.. those jws who are still active today and who were around in that period will typically say it was the "brothers" who "ran ahead of jehovah" and "read more into" the 1975 prediction than what was actually stated.

How many are ''marked'' because they are spiritually weak?

How many cliques are there in the congregation?

How many are sick at home or in the hospital where no one visits or calls?

Service groups on Christmas Day.......Can't they leave people alone for one day?

my wife took our dog for a walk this morning around 9:30 a.m. and saw a ''service group'' leaving my uncle's house this morning.

she said there were about 8 people getting in 2 cars.

she asked me, ''why would they go out today when people are celebrating christmas''?

She asked me, ''Why would they go out today when people are celebrating Christmas''? I explained that everyone is home today and the WTS thinks that householders are more happy today and will listen more than usual.

I always thought that out of all the days people shouldn't be bothered by the preaching work...... it would be today. How come it's alright for Witnesses to bother people today but you couldn't bother them on meeting nights?

the book is about how approximately 300 men and unseen powers pull the strings and determine the fate of the world.

the new world order govern our politics,business,social,and intellectual process.. on page 100 titled ''undermining the faith in christianity'', he writes that many destructive religious sects were formed in the nineteenth century by the clans of the rothschilds,warburgs,and rockefellers.

On page 100 titled ''Undermining the Faith in Christianity'', he writes that many destructive religious sects were formed in the nineteenth century by the clans of the Rothschilds,Warburgs,and Rockefellers. The Mormon's,Jehovah's Witnesses,and many others were called into existence to divert people from true Christianity.

I believe that with the wacky teachings of both the Mormon's and Jehovah's Witnesses this could be true. They both started in the late 1800's and have had a cult following since. What do you think?

February 2010 Study Watchtower - Millions Now Living 'May' Never Die

just noticed that in the february 2010 study edition of the watchtower, they refer to the "millions now living will never die" talk in 1918, but they have changed the title to "millions now living may never die".

only problem, they included the picture of the invitation to the talk, which says 'will'.. ooops.

it's on page 16. enjoy.. .

Great find!

They have a way of changing things in a subtle way. Most of the members have neither read or ever seen the book. Now,the word ''may'' will be ingrained in everyone's head. The ''light'' is getting darker and darker for the WTS.

Flipper : I'm the biggest Led Zeppelin fan out there. I had all their albums(before c.d.'s came out) and saw them live in concert in 1977 sitting in the 5th row. It was so loud that I couldn't hear for 2 days. I purchased a poster that night of the band and taped it on my wall when I got home. My mom (who was just starting to study with the Witnesses) took the poster down and ripped it into pieces. She said that the band and I were all posessed from the DEVIL.

I think that the album ''PHYSICAL GRAFFITI" was their best album. One thing I really liked about them was that no two albums ever sounded alike.

Here is a group called DREAD ZEPPELIN who mixed Elvis with Led Zeppelin. See what you think.

Useless street witnessing in the Carribean Islands.......................

i just came back from a 12 day carribean cruise and visited the islands of grenada, saint lucia, barbados,and 4 other islands.

the temperature was around 90 degrees every day.

it is that warm all year round for them.. all around the street markets and shopping areas we saw jehovah's witnesses street witnessing .

I just came back from a 12 day Carribean cruise and visited the Islands of Grenada, Saint Lucia, Barbados,and 4 other Islands. The temperature was around 90 degrees every day. It is that warm all year round for them.

All around the street markets and shopping areas we saw Jehovah's Witnesses street witnessing . They were all sitting around in the shade holding a Watchtower magazine without ever talking to anyone. They held up the magazine while talking to each other. I watched them for about 20 minutes while my wife shopped and never saw anyone approach them .

Did you ever street witness? What were you told to do when you went street witnessing? Is holding a magazine really preaching or just getting in service time?
